Author Guidelines

Official guidelines for submitting to Proceedings of GLOW can be found on https://glowlinguistics.org/proceedings/.

We recommend that authors prepare their submission using LaTeX. There is an official LaTeX template on Overleaf. The more authors use LaTeX to submit their paper, the easier and quicker the editing process becomes. (There are great resources for learning LaTeX online, e.g. https://www.learnlatex.org/.)

The official template uses the free and open typefaces Libertinus Serif and Libertinus Sans. These have great coverage of glyphs from many different alphabets, including the IPA, and many diacritics. Both typefaces are freely available. Citation and bibliography styles follow the Unified style sheet for linguistics.

For more details, including a description of the style, consult https://glowlinguistics.org/proceedings/.

Submission and publication of conference papers

Contributions can only be submitted to the editorial team outside the OJS system as part of a conference. By submitting a contribution, you agree that the contribution may be published under the CC-BY_SA 4.0 license. Contributions to this collection are published by the editorial team via the OJS system.

Subsequent deletion of articles that have already been published is excluded, unless there is an obvious error in the publication of the article.

Bielefeld University supports the scientific policy demand for open access to scientific publications. In this sense, all published articles are presented as freely accessible and can be accessed without technical barriers.

In order to achieve a wide distribution and visibility of the published articles, publication-related data (metadata of the published articles) are freely available for reuse via established interfaces (e.g. OAI-PMH) and published articles can be indexed by search engines.

To assign unique identifiers (DOI = Digital Object Identifier), the metadata is forwarded to the registration agency DataCite.

The following personal data is displayed publicly in connection with the publication of articles:

  • Names of the authors
  • Institution, if applicable
  • Contact details, if applicable
  • ORCID-iD, if applicable
  • Curriculum vitae, if applicable
