This paper provides novel data on Chinese A-not-A questions that challenge classical analyses of A-not-A derivations (C.-T. J. Huang 1991; Huang, Li & Li 2009). I propose an analysis which takes A-not-A questions to be cases of Right-node Raising plus an independent rule of syllable reduplication.
